Home visits for dogs and cats: feeding, walks and a photo reportHome visits for dogs and cats: a report after every visit

When you're away briefly or working all day, a sitter comes to feed your pet, clean the litter box or walk your dog. After every visit, you get photos and a report, and Alvis remains responsible for the service.

How a visit goes

What happens during a single visit to your pet

A visit is more than a quick pop-in. Here's everything it covers, step by step, following your notes.

  1. Entry at the agreed time

The sitter comes within the time window from your booking and enters as agreed — by key, code or from a lockbox.

  2. Food and fresh water

The portion and type of food exactly per your instructions, fresh water, a washed bowl. Nothing “by eye”.

  3. The cat's litter box or a dog's walk

Cleaning the cat's litter box or a short outing with the dog — to your pet's needs. The flat stays the way you left it.

  4. Play and attention

If the pet likes company — time for play and strokes. If it prefers quiet — the sitter gives it space, doesn't force it.

  5. Medication or insulin, if needed

A tablet, drops or an insulin injection at the set time — per the dose in the pet card.

  6. A photo report

Photos of the cat, bowls and litter box and confirmation of the visit time with GPS — you get them right after the sitter leaves.

Comment: Rudy met me at the door and went straight to his bowl. He ate the whole portion, I changed the water for fresh, cleaned the litter box. We played with the wand a bit, then he settled on the windowsill in the sun. All is well, I locked up as usual with both locks.

Zenek’s regular caregivers are simply wonderful and irreplaceable. The reports always arrive at the agreed time — punctually, with photos of a smiling Zenek. We really value that.

We have used Alvis for two years now. I like that it is safe — when we book a date and it is confirmed, we can count on care for our dog. That was not always the case elsewhere.

I know it is not easy to hand your pet over to someone. But after long research, watching the profile and reading other clients’ reviews, I decided — and honestly, it was a bullseye.

Special cases

A cat on insulin, a dog alone all day, a shy pet — that's the usual, not the exception

Medication and insulin

A cat on ongoing medication

Diabetes, thyroid, prescription medicines — the sitter gives them at the set time per the dose in the pet card. You show the dosing at the meet-and-greet visit.

A dog on a workday

A dog left alone while you work

The sitter drops in during the day: feeds, takes it out for a short walk and plays, so the dog doesn't spend the whole day alone. You can book visits for set days and times.

A shy pet

An animal that doesn't trust strangers

We don't force the pet into contact. The sitter feeds, cleans or goes out for a walk and leaves it space — and you still get a photo that everything's fine.

How to book

From booking to a regular cat sitter — five steps

The whole booking is in the Alvis app: address, days and times, pet card. No forms on the site.

  1. Details about your cat

Address, food, litter box, medication and habits. Three minutes in the app, no commitment.

  2. Your schedule

One-off or every day for your time away — days and time windows for visits.

  3. The meeting and keys

You can arrange a meet-and-greet visit, hand over the keys and show where everything is.

  4. Visits and reports

The sitter comes at agreed times, and you get photos and GPS confirmation.

  5. A replacement if needed

The sitter can't make it — we match a replacement from the reserve. You organise nothing.
